The local Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary support the V.F.W, the local Post and many community activities.

Some examples are the Voice of Democracy Scholarship, and Partriots Pen. 

Buddy Poppy Day, “Honoring the Dead by remembering the Living”, the poppy is the official memorial flower of the United States.
